The collections name stands not only for the moon itself but also as a symbol of the passing of time. The Longines name and the iconic hourglass motif are stamped onto the surface of every Longines Prima Luna watch underneath the 12 o’clock location. The watchmaker’s team of artisan craftsmen working inside the design house in Saint Imier, Switzerland, have worked hard to create a watch that balances luxury with practical ease. These ladies watches are comfortable to wear since they are completed on stainless steel bracelets with beautifully sculpted links that have been polished to an immaculate standard.

The automatic movement fitted to those Loingines Prima Luna watches with hour, minute and second hand as well as a date displays, is that of the L595/592 calibre, It offers an impressive 40 hour power reserve. Such a power reserve will come in handy if the lady wishes to take this watch away on vacation or a business trip where she can alternate it with another Longines favourite without any concern for the Prima Luna losing time. The movement is based on  the ETA 2000/1, a caliber produced by the world's largest ébauche manufacturer, ETA SA Manufacture Horlogère Suisse.

As an official UK stockist of Longines Prima Luna watches here at Owen & Robinson, we hope our carefully selected timepieces from this special collection demonstrate Longines’ quest for perfection. The designs embody the company’s tagline “elegance is an attitude” since every ladies timepiece created by the Swiss manufacture is intended to evoke a strong sense of elegance and sophistication when dressed upon the wrist. The Longines Prima Luna watch with diamond dot indexes and a diamond adorned bezel from our collection, is a particularly glamorous design that has proved popular with ladies that adore the precious diamond stone. The 26mm diameter of this watch’s case is enhanced by dazzling diamonds that dance playfully under the light. They match the small stones representing each marker around the hour track which are easy to admire thanks to the watch’s sapphire crystal glass lens, integrated with anti reflective and scratch resistant properties. The watch also features the iconic blued steel hands that Longines manufacture has become so recognisable for.
